The challenge
ClinicLiss is a management platform for medical clinics and practices. For clinics that still work with handwritten intake forms, getting that information into the system meant typing it in by hand. At the clinic of Lissett Camacho, CEO of ClinicLiss, that took an hour or more per form. That time came out of patient care, information was slow to become available, and there was room for transcription errors. The clinic also had an archive of historical paper records that it couldn’t access digitally.
The solution
Keycode redesigned the patient-record import module of the ClinicLiss platform and integrated Claude, Anthropic’s AI model:
- Intelligent document reading. The team scans the intake form. Claude reads it, interprets the handwriting, and extracts the patient and visit data in a structured format.
- Validation before saving. Before anything enters the patient record, the extracted data is validated against ClinicLiss’s clinical format, so only complete and consistent information is saved.
- Data control and continuity. The solution runs on ClinicLiss’s own Anthropic account, so ClinicLiss keeps control of the information. It also has an automatic fallback so operations never stop.
The module is used to digitize both new records and the historical paper archive.
Results
The module has been in production since September 26, 2026. The figures come from Lissett Camacho’s clinic, where the entire patient care and management team uses it, processing about 30 forms per week:
- 75% less time per form: entering each intake form went from an hour or more to about 15 minutes.
- More than 22 hours freed up per week for the care team, time now spent on patients.
- Manual data entry eliminated: forms are no longer typed in by hand, and the historical archive is being digitized with the same process.
